The importance of visualization

Have you seen the secret? Do you sometimes 'see yourself doing things' and sooner or later find yourself actually experiencing them? I have had an AMAZING year and lots of my dreams have become reality. I visualised my business, I visualised getting an order with my favourite company and even visualised getting paid...all of things happened. But then there was nothing..I wondered why and realised that I had stopped visualising. You have to visualise continuously if the visualisation stops so does the dream. Meditation is a great way to visualize, clearing your mind and sitting in a quite space will help you to focus on your intentions, whilst visualising use your senses to taste, touch, see, hear, feel what you are visualising. I am a very dreative person and I find the best way to visualise is with pictures, I create 'mood boards' which are cut outs of things I aspire to and want in my life and create a board to put them all together. I have my mood boards on my wall and I spend a few minutes every day looking at these, to help me visualise and focus on my life - goals. You can create boards for every area of your life; career, finance, relationships etc. Positive input equals Positive output. I wish all your dreams come true. It also helps to be around positive people who encourage you and care about you reaching your goals. I am blessed to have a great team of people who are also amazing friends. Hi Jem,

I think you have hit the nail on the head. It is so important for us to visualise on a day-to-day basis and have a clear idea of where we to be in life. I have compared myself to when i visualise and when i dont and the difference in result that is produced is outstanding.

Often we say we want x, y and z yet we take no steps to achieving x, y and z and then we wonder why things aren't happening for us. In order to see results and live the life we dream of it is paramount to take those little steps every day which contribute towards your ultimate goal. And the first KEY step as you have pointed out correctly; is visualisation.

Without this , our thoughts become a blur, our dreams a distant memory and our reality a bleak hole. But the truth is that it can be the complete opposite, we can all be happy and live the life we want, we just have to visulaise, believe and act.

Thank you for sharing your ideas of visualisation with us, it's been an incredibly inspiring read!

I have come across the idea of visualisation before but you have explained it in very easy to understand manner, so that even someone totally new to the concept can understand it and start adopting it in their day to day life. You mentioned two techniques for doing so; meditation and mood boards. Both are very powerful techniques but what’s great about the mood board is that it can actually be quite fun! I’ve started doing my mood board or my “life’s goals” board as I like to call it and I have great fun adding to it as and when I see something in a magazine or a newspaper say that I aspire to become or have in my life. It’s a great tool and also gives my room more of a colourful & creative look. Thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences with us. You sound like a great leader and I wish you the very best for all your future projects.

Best Wishes,
